Acupuncture Physician and Licensed Massage Therapist (MA20491) Laura Vasallo A.P., L.M.T. successfully completed a three-year intensive training program in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at Southeast Institute of Oriental Medicine in Miami, Florida. This institute is the oldest licensed Acupuncture school in Florida. The curriculum of the Oriental Medicine Program exceeds the standards set by the State of Florida and the National Commission for Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Included in this curriculum are classes of Acupuncture, Oriental bodywork, Chinese Herbs, Homeopathy, Western Science and supervised clinical training. Ms. Vasallo is a Board Certified Acupuncture Physician and is nationally certified by National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is a member of Acupuncture Physicians Association. Ms. Vasallo completed an extraordinary regimen of Therapeutic Massage Training. This training includes the massage program at Florida College of Natural Health in Miami, and continued advanced training through attending various massage therapy seminars to increase her effectiveness in treating different patient conditions. She is Board Certified as a Licensed Massage Therapist. She is also a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Prior to studying Chinese Medicine, Ms. Vasallo spent several years working with Medical Doctors, Chiropractors and Physical Therapists gaining valuable hospital and out-patient clinical experience. Ms. Vasallo's passion for natural remedies and belief that everyone should be healthy motivated her to become a Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner for the Bach Flower Essences.   Ms. Vasallo is a compassionate and dedicated physician who strives to bring back the tradition of the caring healer, one who knows and understands their patient, not just their disorders. The aim of her treatments, in addition to relieving the main symptoms, is to restore overall harmony and health to the individual.
